Mango strike averted
Low-cost airline Mango and trade union Solidarity reached a deal to avert a strike by pilots.
JOHANNESBURG - Low-cost airline Mango on Thursday said it reached a deal with pilots to avert a strike.
Trade union Solidarity met with airline management at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) earlier in the day.
Pilots wanted an inflation-linked increase plus an extra seven percent every year, for the next three years.
In total, pilots will receive an increase of around 14 percent.
Mango's Hein Keizer said there will be no disruptions to their flight schedule.
