'SBW will quit boxing after Im finished with him'
Francois Botha says Sonny Bill Williams will fight no more after he ‘finishes him’ in their November fight.
CAPE TOWN - South African heavyweight boxer Francois Botha on Tuesday said he is in a different league compared to Sonny Bill Williams.
The All Blacks rugby star will fight the 'White Buffalo' in Brisbane on the 24th of November.
The 27-year-old Williams is the New Zealand Heavyweight champion, but has only had 5 fights since 2009.
The 44-year-old Botha has fought champions like Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Wladimir Klitschko.
He said Williams can't match his experience.
"The only reason I'm taking this fight is because of his popularity in the rugby field. Usually fighters of his caliber will take a long time to get a fight with someone of my status."
Botha, who most recently beat young South African heavyweight, Flo Simba, said he will put Williams off boxing.
"When I'm finished with him, he's going quit boxing and will fight no more. Before, [Earlier in my career] I could have beaten him with one hand tied behind my back., but now I'll give him a show and see what he can do."
