CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer has strongly condemned the killing of police officers following the shooting of yet another policeman in Cape Town on Friday.

Douglas Moses (50) was shot dead in Philippi while on patrol.

This brings to four the total number of Cape Town police officers killed in the past few weeks.

Lamoer said, "The officers were just carrying out their regular duties when they were shot. Three of my officers and one metro officer were shot. One officer is still recovering in hospital."
