BMF elects new leader
The BMF says Shell SA chairperson Bonang Mohale was re-elected unopposed as its new president.
JOHANNESBURG - Shell South Africa chairperson Bonang Mohale was re-elected unopposed as the Black Management Forum (BMF's) new president, the forum said on Thursday.
This means Jimmy Manyi is no longer leader of the BMF.
In September, he stepped down as government spokesperson.
The forum's managing director Nicholas Maweni said members were "quite happy and emotional to see him [Manyi] handing over the reigns of the BMF."
He said Manyi was the longest standing president, having served two full terms.
The non-racial organisation aims to influence fair and equal socio-economic transformation in the country.
