Province ready for 'titanic battle'
Western Province coach Allister Coetzee believes the Bulls will be dangerous in their upcoming encounter.
CAPE TOWN - Western Province coach Allister Coetzee says he is expecting a titanic battle in Friday's North/South derby against the Bulls.
The Pretoria side is currently in very unfamiliar territory, at the bottom of the log.
Another loss could see them end bottom meaning they will have to play a promotion-relegation match against first division champions to hopefully retain their position in the premier division.
Coetzee says the Bulls will be tough in this must-win encounter.
"They are a desperate side and they will give it their all. It's going to be a tough game."
Coetzee says this will be the game of the season for the Bulls.
"We really expect nothing less than a big challenge. It's probably going to be the game of the season for them. We're looking forward to the challenge."
Province is currently third in the Currie Cup log following their loss to the Lions over the weekend.
Friday's match will take place at Loftus Versfeld and kickoff is at 7:10pm.
