Chippa hopes to register first win

Chippa United captain Gift Sithole says his team creates chances, but fails to finish.

Chippa United are getting desperate after four games without a win in the PSL.

CAPE TOWN - Chippa United captain Gift Sithole on Tuesday said they are growing increasingly desperate to bag their first win of the season.

They have a chance to do that when they face Bloemfontein Celtic at Athlone stadium on Thursday evening.

Chippa are second from bottom on the Premier Soccer League (PSL) table, with only two points from their opening four games.

Sithole said they need to be more potent in front of goal.

"Our problem as a team is that we need to score. We are working on it.

"We need to concentrate for the entire 90 minutes. We have to work on scoring goals. We do create a lot of chances, but we fail to finish."

Meanwhile, Celtics have not lost a game this season.

They are currently number nine on the PSL log after two draws and two wins.

Kickoff is at 7:30pm.
