LOS ANGELES - Annie Lennox has married for the third time, this time wedding a South African doctor.

The singer, previously married to Radh Ramen for one year and Uri Frutmann for 12 years, said "I do" with South African Dr Mitch Besser in front of 150 close family and friends in London on Saturday.

Tali and Lola, her daughters from her second marriage to Uri Frutman acted as her bridesmaids.

On Saturday Lennox's spokesperson released a statement that said the couple were married in a private ceremony with only their friends and family present.

A guest who attended the nuptials told MailOnline the occasion was relaxed and friendly and everyone seemed happy, especially Annie.

Lennox met Dr Besser in 2009 after becoming involved in his charity, Mothers2Mothers, which assists children and single mothers with Aids.

However, it is believed Dr Besser was married when they first met. The couple are believed to only have started their courtship after Besser and his wife parted ways.
