Chippa coach happy with team

Chippa United coach Roger Sikhakhane is pleased with his team’s progress in the Premier Soccer League.

CAPE TOWN - Chippa United coach Roger Sikhakhane on Sunday said he was happy with his team's progress so far.

The premiership newcomers played to a 1-1 with Bidvest Wits at Athlone Stadium on Sunday.

Vuyisile Ntombayithethi put Chippa ahead, but former Santos forward Irwin Isaacs scored for his new team Wits minutes from time.

They have not yet registered a win in the Premier Soccer League.

Sikhakhane said his team can only get better.

"I can see that the team is showing signs of growth. I'm hoping that we'll be able to win our next game."

Sikhakhane said he can see his team benefit from the experienced players like Brent Carelse and Cole Alexander they signed.

"The duo is very experienced and that's a blessing to the younger players."

In another action, Ajax Cape Town were beaten 2-1 by Celtics in Bloemfontein.
