JOHANESSBURG - Kaizer Chiefs on Monday promised to tighten security in their Absa Premiership replay against Black Leopards at Soccer City on Wednesday.

This comes after fans ran onto the pitch to play with ice during a hail storm which interrupted play on Saturday.

The match was eventually called off.

Amakhosi were leading the Limpopo side 2-0 at the time.

Chiefs' spokesperson Vina Maphosa said the team will be re-evaluating its stadium security plans.

"We will be reviewing our security measures and issue a statement later."

Maphosa said the club will do whatever it takes to avoid being dragged before the PSL Disciplinary Committee and handed yet another fine.

"We are very sorry for what happened and hopefully we won't be fined."

Those who have the ticket stubs from Saturday night's match will be allowed to use the same tickets to gain entry.

Supporters who do not have tickets for this match can still purchase match tickets

Kickoff for the replay is 7:30pm.
