CAPE TOWN - A Bellville taxi driver on Thursday said the taxi operator allegedly shot and killed by his colleague was actually not the target.

A driver who saw the incident as it happened said two associations based at the taxi rank have been involved in a squabble for sometime.
"The taxi driver and the colleague he shot were in the same association. But he didn't mean to shoot his colleague, that happened in the crossfire, when he had the intention of shooting someone else."
