Sea Rescue finds body
The deceased is believed to be in his late 20s and was found tangled in fishing nets.
CAPE TOWN - The National Sea Rescue Institute discovered an unidentified male body at Fisherhaven Lagoon near Hermanus on Sunday morning.
The Institute's Craig Lambinon said the discovery was made by a paddler.
He said the deceased, who is believed to be in his late 20s was found tangled in fishing nets under a small boat.
"We are appealing to anyone who might know where this boat comes from.
"It's a small row boat with an outboard engine.
"It was found capsized on Fisherhavan Lagoon this morning."
Lambinon said there were concerns that he was not alone and that more people could be missing.
"At this stage it is unclear what might have happened and we suspect that the boat was on the water fishing.
"Our concern is that there were other people with the man that are still missing."
