'Business robberies becoming frequent'

A Woodstock businessman warns that the area has seen two incidents of crime in a week.

CAPE TOWN - A businessman on Friday warned business robberies in Woodstock have become frequent.

In the latest incident on Friday morning, there was a shootout between police and suspects, who were trying to rob a pie shop.

Armed men entered Daily Pies before demanding money.

Police on patrol heard the commotion and went to investigate.

They managed to arrest four suspects. One of the men was wounded in the shootout with police.

Meanwhile, a local businessman said this was the second incident in just five days.

The man, who asked to remain anonymous, said another store was robbed on Sunday.
