Bulls look to restore pride
Blue Bulls captain Dewald Potgieter says they want to restore their pride by winning against the Lions.
JOHANNESBURG - Blue Bulls captain Dewald Potgieter on Friday said it is time for his side to put the 42-6 defeat to Western Province behind them and focus on bouncing back.
The Bulls on Saturday take on the Golden Lions at Loftus, Pretoria.
The Lions are the defending Currie Cup champions.
Deon Stegmann's broken arm means Warwick Tecklenburg gets a start in the loose trio.
Potgieter said there is pressure in the camp to get back to winning ways.
"Experience does play a big part in a player's ability to absorb pressure. I think we have to be mentally fit."
Potgieter said his team needs to be confident that they will bounce back in order to make a win possible this weekend.
"We just need to get the confidence back up. I'm pretty sure the players will relish the opportunity to restore some pride this weekend."
The Bulls are currently second last on the Currie Cup log.
Kickoff is 5:05pm
