JOHANNESBURG - New Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has called up seven new players in his first squad to face Mozambique and Brazil next week.

At least 10 of the 25 players are overseas-based.

There were a few unfamiliar names in Igesund's squad, but he also recalled a few old faces.

Few fans will know Holland based defender Kamohelo Mokotjo.

Other unfamiliar faces include Kgosietsile Ntlhe, UK-based Dean Furman and Israel-based striker Dino Ndlovu.

Igesund recalled goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs, who retired under former coach Pitso Mosimane.

In form Moroka Swallows midfielder Lerato Shabangu was also called up.

The coach says the players must understand there is no room for complacency.

"The players have to fight and be competitive. They must know that this is the national team and nobody is guaranteed a place."

Other faces back in the Bafana squad are Bevan Fransman, Bernard Parker and Kagiso Dikgacoi, but there was no room for Benni McCarthy or Teko Modise.

Bafana will play Brazil in Sao Paolo next week Friday.

Kickoff is 15h45 local time.
