Three in court for Fochville shooting

JOHANNESBURG - Three men appeared briefly in the Fochville Magistrate's Court on Wednesday to face charges of murder and arson.

The suspects were arrested in connection with a shooting at shebeen in Mpahla over the weekend.

At least four people died when an armed gang opened fire on Saturday evening.

Two of the suspects did not have lawyers and were instructed to return to court on Tuesday, only if they have legal representatives.

The third suspect will appear in court next Thursday for his bail application.

The suspects are accused of terrorising people in the village, apparently over cultural differences.

Two of the accused are Lesotho nationals.
