Pressure mounts for WP

WP coach is unhappy about the amount of points his team sacrificed at the weekend.

CAPE TOWN - Western Province coach Allister Coetzee said on Tuesday their clash against the Bulls isn't a do or die game.

However, he said that pressure was mounting.

Western Province has lost two of their three Currie Cup games so far.

They are now second from bottom on the log.

Coetzee said it's not all doom and gloom.

"Obviously the pressure is mounting, but I think the Sharks proved it this year, you just have to be sixth in Super Rugby to play in the final."

Coetzee said they could not afford to give away points against the Bulls like they did against the Lions last week.

"What killed us over the weekend was our discipline and the amount of penalties. I think we gave 21 points away on a silver platter, just by simple penalties. There were lost opportunities out there."
