CAPE TOWN - The Right2Know campaign said it was gearing up to further intensify its opposition to the Protection of State Information Bill.

An Ad hoc committee in the National Council of Provinces (NCP) will be dealing with the so-called Secrecy Bill on Wednesday this week.

It's been vehemently opposed by opposition parties and many civil society groups.

The campaign's Murray Hunter said some changes made to the bill are not good enough.

"We've not been through this process for over two years and issues have not been fully resolved. Despite all the amendments we've seen, the bill remains an open attack on open and accountable democracy."
