Limpopo accident leaves 31 injured

Two busses and a car collided in Limpopo on Sunday, leaving 31 injured.

POLOKWANE - An accident involving two busses and a Corsa Lite in Limpopo on Sunday left 31 people injured on the N1 Highway near Mokopane near Polokwane.

The cause of the accident is unclear at this stage.

It is alleged the three vehicles collided before the Corsa veered off the road and burst into flames which sparked a veld fire where it had landed.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the people in the car managed to escape unharmed.

"The Corsa was completely burnt off," he said.

The 31 people that were injured were taken to various hospitals to be treated.
