CAPE TOWN - Seven-year-old Dale Eastman's parents on Friday arrived in Pinelands where officials recovered his body.
The boy fell into the Elsieskraal River on Wednesday evening.
Standing next to police tape used to cordon off the scene, the boy's parents looked shocked and distraught.
Their worst nightmare came true on Friday morning when Eastman's body was found following an extensive three-day search.
He was playing near the river when he fell into the water.
Eastman apparently begged his parents to let him play outside on Wednesday evening.
He and a friend had been throwing sticks into the water when the incident occurred.
