IPID executive director resigns
Francois Beukman has resigned as executive director of the IPID.
CAPE TOWN - The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) on Friday said they would be changing hands for in it's executive structure at the end of August.
The Police Ministry confirmed on Thursday that Francois Beukman has resigned as executive director to pursue other interests.
Beukman will officially relinquish his position at the end of this month.
IPID's Koekie Mbeki, who is currently head of legal services, will take over in an acting position on 1 September.
The ministry's Zweli Mnisi said, "I can confirm that the executive director of the IPID Francois Beukman has tendered his resignation to the minister."
