Cops hunt for 'religious killing' suspect
Officials are following all leads to track down a man responsible for killing Mohammed Fayaaz Kazi.
JOHANNESBURG - Police are following all leads to track down one of the men who allegedly beat a Muslim man to death in Magaliesburg on Gauteng's West Rand.
On Monday, 27-year-old Mohammed Fayaaz Kazi and a friend went to a Chicken Licken outlet where they were attacked.
It is understood the fight was sparked by racist and anti-Islamist comments about Kazi's beard.
The police's Neville Malila said police are searching for 33-year-old man from Rustenburg.
"We are still looking for the suspect and investigators are currently continuing to get statements from other witnesses."
