JOHANNESBURG - Acting President of Cricket South Africa's (CSA) Board Willie Basson announced on Saturday that its directors will be restructured.

The panel will now consist of 11 members, five whom will be independent and five non-independent.

This is in accordance with a memorandum of agreement signed between CSA, the Sport and Recreation Department and South African Sports Confederation and Olympics Committee (Sascoc) following the Nicholson report into the body's finances.

The disciplinary hearing of former President Gerald Majola, who was found guilty of financial mismanagement, should be completed by mid-October.

Gauteng Cricket first raised questions about Majola and his handling of the Indian Premier League, whether he was paid bonuses that were not in keeping with good governance.
