Lekota to pursue court action
Mosioua Lekota says he is ready to battle with Parliament’s speaker and deputy speaker.
CAPE TOWN - Cope leader Mosioua Lekota on Friday said he is determined to follow through with his court action against Parliament's speaker and deputy speaker, no matter the cost.
Lekota was ordered to leave a sitting of the national assembly earlier this year after criticising President Jacob Zuma over his handling of 'The Spear' painting debacle.
Parliament said it will be challenging Lekota who insists he has a watertight case.
"I remain convinced that the case is correct and that they are wrong.
"If the ruling is allowed to stand, the members of the National Assembly will not be able to debate with the president."
