Busy day for Team SA in London

Team SA will push for more medals after kicking off a busy Saturday at the Olympics.

LONDON - It's set to be a busy Saturday for Team SA at the Olympics with potential medals in the women's triathlon and the men's long jump final.

One of the highlights will be Oscar Pistorius Olympic debut when he competes in the 400m sprint heats at 11:30am.

After the failure of Cornel Fredericks and LJ van Zyl to advance in the 400m hurdles, hopes have pinned on Khotso Mokeona who jumped 8.02m to qualify for the men's long jump finals which takes place at 8:55pm.

Other potential medal alerts for the day include Kate Roberts and Gillian Curr who are takng part in the in the women's triathlon.

Other events to look forward to on Sunday include:

Our girls battle it out on the hockey field against Australia while Bernard Esterhuizen will compete in the men's track sprint cycling.

On the water's in the men's sailing, Roger Hudson and Asenathi Jim compete while Jean Greef participates in the men's 94kg weightlifting.
