LONDON - Banyana Banyana on Tuesday secured a morale-boosting draw against Japan in their final match at the London 2012 Olympics.

On Tuesday, the team earned their first ever Olympic point, after suffering major defeats against Sweden and Canada earlier in the tournament.

Banyana faced the daunting task of taking on Japan, the reigning world champions.

With no chance of qualifying for the next round, the national team played for nothing but pride.

In the end, Banyana held Japan to a goalless draw.
