JOHANNESBURG - Public Service and Administration Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has been slammed for refusing to work in the department's headquarters in Pretoria.

The Sunday Times is reporting that Sisulu has refused to set foot in Batho Pele House sighting security reasons.

The minister has instead setup office in the State Information Technology Agency in Erasmuskloof in Pretoria East.

The Democratic Alliance's Kobus Marais has described Sisulu as someone who wants special treatment.

"She cannot be expected to be treated like a queen, that's not the purpose of her job. Why must she get special treatment? [Her behaviour] is unacceptable."

Sisulu was sworn in the position two months ago following a Cabinet reshuffle.
