CAPE TOWN - Two suspects have been arrested following the discovery of a dagga plantation in the greater Table View area on Thursday morning.

Police are still on the scene at a warehouse in Killarney Gardens.

A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the matter, Cape Town police confirmed.

Those who work in the area say the premises have always been closed, and they have not seen anyone enter or leave the building in months.

Earlier on Thursday, police arrested a Chinese national in connection with a multi-million rand abalone bust in Sunset Beach.

Officials confiscated 28 bags of abalone, valued at R12 million.

Eyewitness News understands detectives are now searching for a Middle Eastern man in connection with the bust.
