Christian Bale has visited with victims who were injured during the movie theatre shooting in Aurora.
NEW YORK - Actor Christian Bale on Tuesday visited victims who were injured during the movie theatre shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
On Friday, gunman killed 12 people and wounded 58 others at a midnight screening of the Dark Knight Rises in the Denver suburb.
The alleged shooter, 24-year-old James Eagan Holmes, made his first court appearance in a Colorado court on Monday.
The Dark Knight Rises star was meant to be taking part in premieres around the world, which were cancelled in the wake of the shooting.
He met with seven of the victims injured during the shooting and took pictures with staff at the hospital that treated them.
Bale released a statement on Friday, expressing his sympathies.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros encouraged other entertainment entities to follow its example of donating to a fund that helps those affected by the shooting.
