ANC NEC to tackle job creation
The ANC’s Gwede Mantashe said the lekgotla will also focus on the Limpopo textbook saga.
JOHANNESBURG - The ANC's National Executive Committee (NEC) will focus on job creation and problems in the education system when its lekgotla starts on Thursday.
The ruling party's top brass will meet for several days to discuss policy issues.
ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe on Wednesday said the lekgotla will also be looking at other issues.
"The NEC will look at the Limpopo textbook debacle and national intervention in the Eastern Cape."
Mantashe said youth unemployment and municipal problems will also come under the spotlight.
This after the Auditor-General Terence Nombembe revealed that only 13 councils, from a total of 283, received clean audits in the past financial year.
