JOHANNESBURG - Manchester United kick-off their preseason tour of South Africa on Wednesday with their match against Amazulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The English side last visited South Africa back in 2008.

On Saturday, they face Ajax Cape Town before continuing their global preseason tour.

That match will be played at the Cape Town Stadium.

Alex Ferguson is likely to field a mixture of youth and experience in the friendly clash against Amazulu.

Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes could all feature in the starting 11, but the Red Devils may also try young defenders Marnick Vermijl and Scott Wootton.

Amazulu are also likely to test a full strength squad with the ABSA Premiership kicking off in August.

There is also a chance new signing Dulee Johnson could make his debut for the local side.

United vowed to take Amazulu seriously, while the crowds will be hoping for lots of goals.

The game kicks off at 8:15pm.
