CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police on Tuesday made a massive cocaine bust at the harbour.

Officers were acting on a tip-off when they discovered 20 blocks of pure cocaine hidden between frozen items in a container.

It was destined for a cold storage facility in Montagu Gardens.

The police's Frederick van Wyk said the drugs are worth R24 million.

"Preliminary investigations revealed the drugs originated from South America. No arrests have been made and the investigation continues."
