JOHANNESBURG - Continued reports of bad weather across South Africa have not slowed down Team SA's preparations ahead of the London Olympic Games.

With just ten days to go until the sporting spectacle kicks off, more cold snaps are expected over the Great Britain region.

South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) Chef de Mission Patience Shikwambana said athletes will not have trouble acclimatising.

She said Team SA were considering travelling to London earlier than scheduled, so athletes have a week to adjust to the weather.

Despite reports of rain, it is believed London is warmer than SA, Shikwambana added.

About 134 athletes are expected at the High Performance Centre in Pretoria on Tuesday, for a team-building exercise.

Shikwambana said athletes were excited to be participating in the Games and that logistics were on track.

She thanked the South African public for the huge support Team SA had already received.
