JOHANNESBURG - Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Black Leopards says it hopes to challenge for league honours this coming season.

The Limpopo side was knocked out of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) this weekend when it was held to a goalless draw in its second-leg clash against Sudanese giants Al-Merreikh.

The 17-time Sudanese champions won the first-leg 3-2.

Leopards' Tendani Thidiela says the experience gained by his side in the continental competition will help them this coming season.

"The boys have learnt a lot and we're going to use the experience in the upcoming PSL season."

Leopards finished fourth in the previous season.
