JOHANNESBURG - The Road Accident Fund (RAF) will assist the families of those killed in Friday morning's Hectorspruit crash.

At least 25 people died and 25 others injured when a train collided with a tuck transporting farm workers.

The accident took place at a level crossing.

Mpumalanga Community Safety spokesperson Joseph Mabuza said, "We've already spoken to the RAF. They are going to assist the families with regards to the burial of the deceased."

"However, there are processes that will be followed. We have also received information that some people who died don't have identity documents."

Meanwhile, the truck driver is facing murder charges and is expected to appear in court on Monday.
