CSA to hear Faul's play
The CSA board of directors are also expected to discuss Gerald Majola’s suspension.
JOHANNESBURG - Acting Cricket South Africa CEO Jacques Faul's resignation is expected to be debated at a special meeting of the board in Johannesburg on Friday.
The board is also expected to deal with suspended CEO Gerald Majola's prolonged disciplinary hearing.
Faul replaced Majola when he was suspended in March 2012.
The board will have to decide whether or not to accept Faul's resignation.
He stepped down last week with claims that he was being undermined by the board.
The board will receive a report back from its legal team about the pending disciplinary hearing of Majola.
Also on the agenda are the recommendations of Judge Chris Nicholson relating to the appointment of independent directors, the size and composition of the new board of directors as well as the chair of the new board.
Acting CSA president Willie Basson will make a public statement on Friday afternoon.
