JOHANNESBURG - A damning report on Humphrey Mmemezi's alleged misconduct will be revealed during a special sitting at the Gauteng Legislature on Friday.

Mmemezi stepped down as Gauteng's Local Government and Housing MEC on Wednesday amid allegations of financial mismanagement.

It is widely believed he was forced to resign ahead of special sitting where a report by the legislature's integrity committee will be considered.

Mmemezi is expected to come under fire on Friday for misusing his government vehicle and official credit card, among other things.

Two separate investigations are underway into the former MEC's misconduct.

One is by an independent commission set up by the legislature and the other by African National Congress' integrity committee.

It is understood the ANC in Gauteng pushed him to resign as MEC, but he will still keep his seat in the legislature.

Mmemezi admitted he made a mistake with regards to personal purchases on the state credit card, but insists other allegations are false.
