Mbazo is a Clever Boy
It has been confirmed that former Aaron Mokoena will play for Bidvest Wits next season.
JOHANNESBURG - It has been confirmed that former Bafana captain Aaron Mokoena will play for Bidvest Wits next season.
Mokoena, whose nickname is "Mbazo" (meaning "Axe"), is Bafana's most capped international player.
The length of the deal has not been disclosed, but his agent Paul Mitchell, of Siyavuma Sports Agency, says the deal has gone through.
Mokoena has left his cash-strapped English side Portsmouth. He also played for Ajax Amsterdam and Blackburn Rovers.
"We were waiting for the agreement between Aaron and Portsmouth to be signed. It is now finalised."
Meanwhile, Wits has unveiled Antonio Lopez Habas as their new coach after parting ways with Roger de Sa.
