Gautrain hit by technical glitch
Gautrain says one its trains experienced a technical problem, resulting in a 45minute delay.
JOHANNESBURG - Gautrain commuters were left stranded at Marlboro station on Tuesday following a technical glitch.
Speaking to Eyewitness News , one commuter said, "We were stuck for about 45 minutes. We got these announcements that said [Gautrain] had structural problems."
Officials blamed the delay on yet another technical glitch.
Gautrain spokesperson Errol Braithwaite said normal operations had resumed.
"It seems that we picked up a problem on one of our trains. Protocol, from a safety perspective, says we must take that train out of service."
