COPE MP misbehaves on aircraft
A COPE member was sent home from India after becoming unruly on a plane.
CAPE TOWN - The Congress of the People (COPE) on Sunday said it would not tolerate any bad behaviour from its members.
COPE Member of Parliament Dirk Feldman was sent home from India after becoming unruly on a plane.
Feldman was part of a parliamentary delegation to India at the weekend.
He apparently tried to open the emergency exit of the South African Airways plane during the flight.
COPE acting Chief Whip Dennis Bloem said the chairperson of the National Council of Provinces alerted him to the incident.
Bloem would not say much claims that Feldman was drunk.
"Mr Mahlangu spoke about [the claims], but I am saying that Mr Mahlangu said he will write a report to me to explain exactly what happened. However, he mentioned to me that there was misbehaviour."
