Santos chairman wants new blood
Goolam Allie believes Santos will need new players for their season in the National First Division.
CAPE TOWN - Santos Chairman Goolam Allie believes his team will need new players for their season in the National First Division (NFD).
The People's Team was relegated last weekend. They join Jomo Cosmos who were also relegated to the NFD.
Allie says bringing in some new players could help lift the mood of the team.
"It's not necessary because the players are not good enough. It's just that following this traumatic season we might need two or three fresh people who haven't gone through the same experience. We will look at how we can strengthen the team from that angle."
Allie says the rebuilding process starts now.
"It's not something that you plan before the time, it's something that happens and then you've got to do your best to bounce back."
University of Pretoria and Chippa United will campaign in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) next season.
