JOHANNESBURG - The South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sacci) on Friday said it was looking forward to another petrol price decrease.

The Department of Energy will on Friday announce the July petrol price adjustment with economists expecting a drop of at least 70 cents a litre.

In May, the department announced a welcomed 55 cents drop in the fuel price after months of increases.

Sacci's Neren Rau said motorists as well as the business sector deserve the reprieve.

"Our businesses have been under substantial pressure in terms of the cost of doing business and the prices related to electricity and the movement of goods, so a reprieve on the petrol price is coming at an appropriate time."
