Aborigines showcase their history
Institute for the Restoration of the Aborigines plan to restore several historical sites in Cape Town.
CAPE TOWN - The Institute for the Restoration of the Aborigines said their plan is to restore several historical sites in Cape Town on a monthly basis.
A board showcasing the Khoisan community's name for the City entitled, "Where the clouds come together" was unveiled at the Castle on Thursday.
The institute's Tanya Kleinhans said, "I think it is also a process for black and white and other race groups to get a better understanding that the Khoisan is here, we have always been here and we aren't going anywhere."
"The ANC is going to provide permission to sites that we can restore. I don't think that any person who has invaded our ancestral land has the authority to do that. We as the Aborigines will be reclaiming our sacred sites"
