Police are investigating a case of rape against a member of the New Zealand under-20 rugby team.
CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating a case of rape against a member of the New Zealand under-20 rugby team.
A Cape Town woman laid a charge with the police but details about the incident remain unclear.
It is understood that the incident allegedly happened at a hotel in Newlands where the team was staying on Friday night.
The incident allegedly happened after their 22-16 loss against the Baby Boks.
It is believed investigators spent Saturday doing a DNA sweep at the hotel.
The police's Vish Naidoo said: "This allegation was made by a 22-year-old woman. We are currently investigating a case of rape."
