BETHLEHEM - The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) on Sunday conveyed its condolences to the families of four of its members who were killed in a bus accident in Bethlehem, Free State.

Strong winds might have been the cause for the accident.

The bus was transporting members back to the Thabo Mofutsonyane region after a rally in Bethlehem on Saturday.

Paramedics said 58 other people were injured.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said, "We have transported all patients to numerous hospitals."

ANCYL spokesperson Magdalene Moonsamy said the accident was a tragedy.

"The ANCYL has been with the injured comrades since Saturday. These people have been committed in their responsibility to changing the country."
