CAPE TOWN - Relatives of double murder victims in Strandfontein on Thursday said they wanted justice to be served.

The bodies of Christopher van Rooi and his girlfriend, Lee-Ann Ram, were discovered in an open field near the sand dunes earlier this week.

Friends and family made the gruesome discovery near the Rocklands recreation centre.

Van Rooi had been stabbed in the chest while Ram's body had been badly burnt.

Van Rooi's mother, Roselyn, said the family were finding it hard to come to terms with their loss.

"Nobody goes out in this world to get murdered, but unfortunately he was one of those people."

She said she hoped police will find the perpetrators.
