Woman busted with dagga

A woman has been arrested for possession of dagga worth an estimated street value of R260,000.

CAPE TOWN - A 24-year-old woman was arrested near Beaufort West for the possession of dagga worth an estimated street value of R260,000.

Police stopped the woman in her white vehicle on the N1 highway on Monday.

Officials found 19 bags of dagga.

The police's Bernadine Steyn said the suspect appeared in the Beaufort West Magistrate's Court.

"The case was postponed until June 21."
