'Mugabe chosen by God'
New police recruits in Zim pledged their allegiances to God-given leader Mugabe.
ZIMBABWE - New police recruits at a graduation ceremony hailed President Robert Mugabe as the country's God-given leader, a private newspaper reported on Friday.
Zimbabwe is under local and international pressure to make sure its security forces are impartial, ahead of elections.
It was a pass out parade for 561 new recruits.
The private NewsDay claims that the officers declared their allegiance to Mugabe.
The new cops reportedly chanted that Mugabe was, "The only God-chosen leader of Zimbabwe."
