Boys die in house fire
Three young brothers died in a blaze at a Hartebeespoort foster home on Tuesday night.
PRETORIA - Three young brothers died in a blaze at a Hartebeespoort foster home on Tuesday night, leaving one surviving sister.
The blaze engulfed the temporary wooden structure in which the boys were sleeping in.
Harties Haven owner Stephanie Bentley said their family, including 28 other children in their care, couldn't believe what had happened.
"My daughter came running into our room saying the wendy house was on fire. Two ladies were already trying to get the boys out, but the whole place came down in seven minutes."
The siblings, aged seven, nine and 14 had been in Bentley's care for more than a year.
They went to the home after their mother passed away.
"They've got a little sister that just turned five last month, and she is the only survivor of this family," said Bentley.
This tragedy came just a day after two young children died in a house fire in Montana, Pretoria, on Tuesday morning.
