Nine killed in bus/taxi crash
Nine people were killed in a bus/taxi accident near Nelspruit.
JOHANNESBURG - Nine people have died and 45 others have been injured when a minibus taxi collided with a bus near Nelspruit in Mpumalanga.
The crash occurred shortly after 7am on the R40 between White River and Nelspruit.
Er24's Derek Banks said, "Emergency personal arrived on the scene and found the bus on its side with the taxi a few metres on. Twelve people are in a critical condition."
In a separate accident, 16 people were injured when a taxi and a bakkie collided in Krugersdorp on Gauteng's West Rand.
Paramedics said a taxi overturned on the N14 due to a mechanical problem.
All 14 occupants were flung out of the vehicle.
A bakkie driving on the same road crashed into the wreckage and two occupants were injured.
