DELMAS - Two men arrested for the murder of a five-month-old baby and his minder in Delmas, Mpumalanga will remain behind bars for at least another week.

The pair appeared in the Delmas Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Their case was postponed for further investigation and a possible bail application.

Margrietha de Goede and Baby Ruaan Botes were found strangled in her day care centre on 23 May.

The two suspects were arrested in Gauteng on Tuesday.

The police's Leonard Hlathi said the pair was found in possession of jewelry and a cell phone believed to be that of the minder.

"Their arrest followed an intensive investigation."
